Lost and Found will be located at GATE. If you lost something, please check there. If you found something, please bring it to Gate. In the event that Gate is closed, the event stewards and/or the folks at Information Point at A&S on the west side of the list fields are happy to help.

Directions: From north or south, take I-5 to the Creswell exit, #182. At the end of the off-ramp, turn west toward the center of town. Turn left onto Hwy. 99 directly after the railroad crossing. Go south on Hwy. 99 for 1.3 miles. Turn left onto Davisson Road. Park entrance is 2.3 miles on the left, directly across from the state park sign. Site address is Lynx Hollow State Park, 80998 Davisson Rd., Creswell, OR 97426.
[Pro Tip: the railroad crossing as you turn onto Davisson Rd. is very rough. If that is a concern with a heavy load or trailer, continue south on Hwy. 99 and take either the first or the second left turn, Treadwell Rd. or Tate Rd. Either one will take you over to Davisson Rd. with a smoother RR crossing. Turn right/south onto Davisson and continue to Lynx Hollow Park.]

Activities That Don’t Fit Into Other Categories . . .
The first two are located in the general Arts & Sciences area on the west side of the list fields and are open throughout Pregils and Egils:
Garb Exchange — Bring garb (and other SCA items) that you no longer use and leave it or take garb that speaks to you! A great way to recycle outgrown kids’ garb.
Little Free Library — Have SCA appropriate fiction or non-fiction books or periodicals (or other media) that you no longer want? Leave them at the Library. Find something that speaks to you? Take it home and enjoy it before you pass it on again or treasure it forever.

The “Ugly Duckling” Yarn exchange — 11am until 4pm on Saturday May 23rd at the Clan Wagner’s encampment, Clan Wagner is hosting a yarn exchange for you to leave your “ugly duckling ” yarn of any fiber content, color or texture and exchange it for a potential “swan” under your skilled hands. Bring one or more skeins. Leave one skein and take one new skein! Bring two or more skeins, but only take two skeins. Left over yarn will be given to any Largess makers! A separate booth will be set up by our encampment with our clan banner. Please inquire at the Gate or the Info/A&S station by the List Fields as to the location for Clan Wagner.

————————
-Boffer fighting is NOT an official FAC activity though it will be taking place near the FAC area. Boffers are not allowed inside the FAC tent.
-The FAC area is not a drop-off daycare; the FAC area is fun for the whole family! Kids 12 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times unless other arrangements are made with the FAC area lead.
-We know activities with kids can be difficult to work into a busy weekend, so we hope to offer a free space where kids can just hang out together with a few set projects for added fun.
-Except for the smores activity, food and drinks will not be provided. If anyone wants to donate snacks or drinks to the youth area please bring them by!
-The FAC area will be open as much as possible but will have to close at times if no one else is available to facilitate. Saturday will be particularly difficult for me to keep it open due to the children’s archery shoot and YAC tournament. People with background checks willing to help out please email me proof of your current background check status ([email protected] with ‘Family Activitie’s in the subject line) and stop by when you arrive at site to coordinate your availability. Thank you!

Lady Leticia of Glyn Dwfn
Castle Building
There will be a castle building contest for the kids at Egils. It will be from 11:30 until 3:00 on Sunday. Sir Anton, and HL Elisabeth, have graciously agreed to be the sponsors of the 2 teams. They will be looking for mentors from the peerages and I strongly encourage people to either reach out to them or try to find the time if asked. (It is our job to teach and encourage, and set an example, this applies to the kids as well) Non peers may also be mentors. There will be a half hour instructional tutorial, followed by a 1 hour planning session to come up with plans, designs, strategy, then a 2 hour build period. Mentors are to help with education, designs, plans, decorations, etc. during the planning period. During the build period they may provide assistance as directed or asked for by the kids. The children may ask for your help and ideas, but they are the task masters.
The teams will be judged on who built the best fortification, and which team is most inspirational.
The fortification part is pretty straight forward: how well would it do its job as a fortification.
The inspiration can take many forms, such as decoration, song, tales, etc. (If it is through song or other performance it should be under 5 minutes)
I encourage people to bring items for the kids to decorate the castles with: cord, ribbon, cloth scraps, etc. I also encourage anyone who can attend the Judging at 3:00 to come see how creative the children of these fair lands can be. — Master Quinn Phelan
